My usual guy is based up in Yorkshire but it's about time I found a decent and trusted garage down here. Does anyone have any experience with mechanics that can be trusted to not rip you off and exaggerate every minor fault? Or am I dreaming?

  Is Deptford too far? [The Test Centre](https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/) You can book an appointment or just drive up and wait. They only do MOT tests, the theory is that they won't 'find' any unnecessary work to do. I've used them once so far, drove in and waited. Very efficient.

  The Test Centre in Deptford (www.thetestcentre.co.uk) have a no pass, no fee policy, and they're excellent.
