We just moved to Sugar Land from Clear Lake and I'm therefore looking for a good Veterinarian that is good to the animals but also won't rip you off. We had a great Vet in Clear Lake, but I've got a baby at home and commuting over there right now just isn't possible. Please help!

  Carrie, we are at 8921 Katy Freeway hoy 77024 713-932-9589. Sometimes our care is less than the clients normal general practictioner!! I'm always amazed by that

  None. I'm not kidding. Come to us, Interstate 10 at Campbell, basically 2-3 miles outside loop 610, the west loop. We are 24/7. I'm an internist. Our hospital is open 24/7. ALL REPEAT ALL of the north ERs and most of them in Houston and surrounding areas (Sugarland) have been bought out by corporations. ER hospitals don't have a high profit margin and most couldn't afford to stay in business so they sold out. The corporations have brought in SUB-standard non-emergency trained doctors, tell them to baby sit overnight until they can transfer them to their specialist where you will pay a ton of money that your daytime vet can handle. I'm a specialist and I know that not every medical case needs a specialist. My doctors all have post-graduation training in emergency medicine. I don't hire them if they don't. I'm unique in that aspect. I want a "Doctor" not a "warm body". Some people will have happy tales to tell but those of us in the business know what goes on behind closed doors. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to any of those practices. An for Carrie Lyn above, a good ER vet will charge appropriately for their services and yes, it will be more than your day practice because the overhead is much, much higher, the salaries of the staff is much higher (who wants to work nights, weekends and holidays?) and you have to have ALOT of staff for your one pet. At least 3 people if you're doing it right. And we do give rescue discounts if are a 501 c3 and are pre-registered with us.
