About us
My name is Catherine Rowland and I am a mother of 2 amazing children. I am currently a student doula with The Birth Yurt and am available now to work with women and couples as part of my training.
When I was pregnant with my first child I began to develop a passion for pregnancy and birth, taking the opportunity to learn all that I could about a woman's body from conception to labour and beyond.
This interest never left me, so three years later when pregnant with my second child I decided to commence my Doula training- I know that I have now found my passion and my dream.
I have had two beautiful, empowering births, one supported by an amazing doula. I believe that all women should have the opportunity to experience birth in the way they want, held and supported as they bring their babies into the world and become mothers. I feel honoured to work with women and families through this incredible journey.
