About us
We started Bestowed Kitchen in early 2014 as an outlet for our passion for food. We pride ourselves on quality and try to make as much of our ingredients as possible ourselves; we even make our own apple wholegrain mustard.
We are inspired by cuisines from across the world but our main focus is simply on serving great food that looks and tastes fantastic. We provide freshly prepared, creative, tasty, real food made with love. We think it's a pretty simple and intuitive formula really.
As Walthamstow residents, we felt that there was a desire for more quality food businesses in the area. This prompted us to make the leap and launch head first into this fantastic community last year. Since then we have loved being part of the burgeoning food and drink scene here. E17 is an area which very much encourages, supports and thrives on local businesses and we are proud to be part of it.
In a whirlwind year, we have traded at many local events, festivals and markets. We crafted bespoke E17 Art Trail lunchboxes and served up hundreds of canapes for the festival’s closing party. We sold out at the amazing Barbican-run Walthamstow Garden Party, as well as catering for private parties, business meetings and even a film crew! We finished 2014 winning best “start-up” at the Waltham Forest Small Business Awards, which topped a fantastic first year.
Our long-term aim is to find a permanent home in the area, somewhere we can serve our handmade and freshly prepared food, great drinks and quality deli produce with a cosy, friendly atmosphere and good music. We hope you join us on this exciting journey.
