(I'm finally getting sick of trains that don't go where I want...) Any advice would be great! Ideally in Antwerp, but central Brussels or Mechelen would also work, as I can get the train there.

  I did the theory test in Deurne, Antwerp in English. There's a guy called Marc Dierckx who assists with translations (charges 50 euros for it) at the theory test. I had a licence from my country so I needed to follow a few lessons to get used to the system here before I took the driving exam so I went to: http://www.codrive.be/index.php/1/ Dirk Duynslaeger is a great guy who owns codrive, speaks English, gives lessons in English and lets you practice in the same areas and situations as what your driving test will be in Antwerp. And he's cheaper than a regular driving school. Just ask me if you need more info...or more tips
