  Does anyone happen to know if it is legal for a landlord to move someone into my room without a 24 hour notice? I'm in a hostel situation and the place seems to be legally listed as a hotel. The place is called the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco. There's also a laundry list of other possible/actual violations, so if anyone knows a good lawyer who's willing to help some students out that's be great. Thanks everybody!

  Jimmy, contact the Housing Rights Committee, 417 S Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94103, phone (415) 703-8634. They are located at South Van Ness between 15 th and 16 th. Ask to speak with Jennifer. You might have to leave a message they are extremely busy all the time. I know Jennifer she's a friend of mine and she can probably see you in the right direction as far as the laws and your rights. You can tell her I referred you.
