  Has anyone had younger kids in piano lessons? I have a 4&1/2 year old that wants to try it out & I'm pretty clueless. I've been looking around and see that it's around $25/half hour everywhere.. but what is appropriate? Just one 30 minute session per week? Any recommendations on an instructor that is great with younger kids? Any help would be appreciated :)

  My son started when he was 4 yo with Julia brown. She is less than $25 a session...more like 20. And super good with my quirky 4 yo.

  My kids take lessons from Julia Brown who runs her studio out of Champlin United Methodist Church in Champlin. Currently she is $85 per month and is wonderful with all kids. My daughter took lessons for 5 years, started in Kindergarten and my son for 4 years, started in first grade. We love her. Her number is 612-501-1957. She would be happy to talk with you.

  We go to Julia brown at the church on 169 and dean I think. I started one son at age 5 and she was great with him. Started the other son mid 3 rd grade. She's good with all skill levels, tho I wish she would challenge them a little more. She id very accommodating!
