  Difficult to find lodging in Cinque Terre so book EARLY!! Rented apartment first time I went 10 years ago. This past Sept we just stayed for the day. In Venice, we stayed at Palazzetto Madonna. Expensive, but fantastic rooms. And great location on the canal, away from all the crowds that have ruined the charm Venice. http://www.palazzettomadonna.com/rooms.htm
