  It's not like that anymore. Not at all. I had heard that as well, and am very particular about where we go on vacation. No party scene at all, all families. I traveled with my two kids solo and never felt unsafe. We stayed at The Starlux (a Morey's resort), and by doing that, you save quite a bit on the tickets for the piers. Stay and Play pass it's called. They have a few places affiliated with them. Check out moreyspiers.com
