  Vikki Cooper Byker wall has both Bouldering (no ropes climbing) and rope climbing walls with a special area for kids. they run kids groups and do a cool little thing called NICAS (national indoor achivement scheme) aimed at kids 7 years plus. the staff and instructors there are really good and down to earth. all the info is here http://www.newcastleclimbingcentre.co.uk/index.php/courses/kids-clubs
