Orthodontist recommendations? The last thread on this was from 2013 so, here we go again:
I'm looking for an orthodontist having never seen one in, and only just having gotten set up with a dentist in Boulder. I was recommended:
* Dr. Yamashiro
* Dr. Melcher
* Dr. Leypolt (Lafayette)
Yamashiro and Leypolt said two pretty different things, so I'd like to get a 3rd opinion. Unfortunately I won't be able to get an appointment with Melcher until July. So... any recs?
ETA: if more context helps, cosmetically my teeth look fine when I smile but I have some bite issues that are causing me issues. I'm not particularly shopping around for the cheapest ortho, or the nicest ortho but I hate feeling like I'm buying a used car bc all these orthos are upselling \*everything\*. Mostly looking for shear competence. Bonus for having a generally competent office staff. My biggest complaint about Leypolt was that his techs who were taking pictures did not know what they were doing.

I had a really rough situation with my jaw. Was told I needed surgery. Went looking for another opinion and found this group in Denver. They do a special kind of orthodontics that focuses more on the long term health of the jaw rather than just straightening teeth, which can cause more problems if it is not done correctly: https://www.foundations-orthodontics.com
ISO a good kids orthodontist. We have a good dentist, but my daughter needs to see an orthodontist. Any recommendations for one for kids?
