About us
Animals First Clinic is an animal hospital in Grande Prairie, AB. We provide veterinary services for dogs, cats, rabbits, other pocket pets and reptiles.
We love sharing and teaching. We believe that simple instructions and an at-home treatment plan provide pet owners with the knowledge and tools they need to care for their animals. We strive for every client to leave our clinic with a clear understanding of their pets’ health.
We offer typical preventative medicine, including general health examinations, vaccinations and deworming. And we also offer conventional surgeries, everything from spay and neuter to tumour removal and laceration repair. Yet this clinic is anything but “typical” or “conventional”.
We provide orthopaedic surgery (bones & joints) in an immaculate, state of the art facility. We use digital x-rays for fast, accurate imaging and our own, in-house laboratory for accurate test results in less than an hour! After surgery, we provide intensive care and rehabilitation. And we can now perform rehabilitative support through the use of laser therapy.
We also offer behaviour consultation.
And we combine all these skills to provide special care to sled dogs, having worked with teams that were Iditarod runners-up and winners of the Yukon Quest!
