  Broken shower thermostatic cartridge, manufacturer no longer makes the part. Options? Hi Everyone! Our jacuzzi shower tower stopped output of hot water a couple months ago. We had the shower inspected by a plumber, and he told us we needed to replace the Jacuzzi gj56000 thermostatic cartridge. Unfortunately, this shower is almost 20 years old and this thermostatic cartridge is impossible to find. We also reached out to Jacuzzi and they informed us they no longer manufacture that part. At this point, we are looking at an out of budget replacement of the entire shower unit that will not be covered by our home owners insurance, so we're looking for suggestions for a cheaper fix. Is there another thermostatic cartridge that we could use to replace this specific cartridge? Are there any places that may still sell this specific part? Any suggestions are welcome, thank you in advance! Edit: We are in the D.C. area if anyone can recommend us to a plumber who can fix this for us!
