  Does anyone have any factual information on the parking attendants in Gordons Bay, Strand and Somerset West. Are these people 'legal' and if so, does the money benefit the municipality of each town? I was attacked by one woman in Strand when I refused to pay for parking under a '120 minute' parking sign. She tried to rip the side mirror off my car. If this is a legal organisation I would like the details of the company that employs these individuals. If they are not legal, something needs to be done quite urgently to stop this harassment. Any ideas on who to contact in this regard?

  I have emailed ACE parking and asked for a copy of the agreement between themselves and The City of Cape Town showing the dates the contract will run, whether Gordons Bay receives any of the parking fees and whether business owners along the beach are required to pay what amounts to about R51.00 a day to these individuals. The rate being R3.00 per half hour. I have requested that they print a copy of the contract in one of the local papers.   Also report the aggressive ones directly to Ace Parking Services (made 'legal' by City of Cape Town when they awarded them the contract). Check their website for a link to report marshalls and also for prices (the sites tab) http://www.aceparking.co.za/system.php
