About us
Established in 2008, Smart Exchanges Clothing Agency has been trading for 9 years. The idea behind a Clothing Agency is that customers can bring in their good quality, High Street to Top Designer clothes, shoes & boots and we will sell them for them. When an items has been sold, they get 50% of the selling price back.. Over the past 9 years the average number of items that we have taken in to sell has been over 1800/ month. We continually have a very large range of items, in all sizes, colours, styles . For those of you who do not want to "rummage" through the extensive stock, we are always on hand to help, having a very good idea of what we have. The whole shop is organised as much as possible, with each rail holding a different colour, and on each rail we put the dresses together, tops together, trousers together and so on. If someone has something specific that they want to match , then we are only too happy to let them bring that item in and try on alternatives with it. We have fitting rooms on all floors and do not mind how many items that you would like to try on.
As far as bringing in items is concerned, we do take in everyday, but would ask you to bear in mind that we do have some very busy times, so to allow plenty of parking time(car park immediately behind). During busy times, and for your first visit we would prefer you to just bring 6-8 items( max) and then afterwards, once you know how it all works, we can take much more from you. We do not take as much in on Saturdays( lots of people buying) and also a bit less on Mondays, but apart from that there are no restrictions.
We can price the items for you,( we use a tiering system) but if you have a certain amount that you want back, then we can ensure we do not go below your reserve price.
We keep the items for 2 months and then at the end, if items are not sold, then you can choose to collect, or donate them to Cancer Research( they collect from us each week)
