  My husband and I are looking into buying our first house in Redlands. Does anybody have any helpful info like where to start/what not to do or what are the best/worse loans. Is going through CAFHA a good idea? was going to start with a fha approved lender at wells fargo and go from there. We are sort of low income, 1 child, 1 on the way. Also want to know around how much down we would usually need for around maybe 320,000$ house? Thank you

  Rather than starting at how much you want to pay for a home figure how much you can afford to pay on your mortgage monthly and then speak to a lender and they will tell you what you qualify for. Also give you options of types of loans and how much you will need to put down for each one and keep you comfortable. If you use some kind of assistance program make sure you know all the terms such as when and if the money if forgiven.   Anyone know of any good rental properties in the Poly HS area? Even in the Wood Streets area? I went to look at the one on Horace a few doors down from my mom's and it was a huge let down. The kitchen and bathrooms look completely run-down like they haven't been lived in since the house was built in the 60s. 3-4 Bed, 2 bath preferred.
