  Hi everybody. Does anyone know of a hair stylist that has experience or is very good with a special needs child? My son 3 1/2 and has autism and is in dire need of a haircut. Last time we took him to get his hair cut, he screamed, tried to get off the seat, kept moving his head back and forth,etc. it was an aweful experience especially when people kept looking at him like he was possessed or something. So if anyone knows someone who can help me with this or even come to my house to do it it don't matter to me. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

  Hair Connection on Tucker Street in Fall River (behind the McDonalds with the train). I was hired there right out of cosmetology school and passing state boards to receive my license in '96, and through that salon learned to give a top notch hair cut to crying, squirming, upset children while dodging their hands, kicking, spitting and biting while remaining patient, calm and professional no matter how long it took to complete their hair cut. Same stylists who taught me during my early years working in salons are still working there now. Ask for Karen. (508) 672-3222

  My first job after becoming a licensed cosmetologist working my apprenticeship years in Fall River was at the Hair Connection. The stylists there taught me to be one of the best stylists while working with young children. I earned the patience of a saint, and nerves of steel after being employed by this salon in 1996. The staff are top notch when it comes to working with kids! And their cuts are works of perfection at fair prices.
