Recommendations for a 27inch monitor for photography?

What's the budget? If serious you will need external calibrator or a self calibrating monitor. I have seen many bad files come from anything less. We have these. http://www.eizo.com/products/coloredge/cg276/ and are quite happy. LaCie also has nice monitors. Good luck!
Looking for some good recommendations for a good flat screen monitor for photography I know that CRTs and LCDs, etc treat photographs very differently, and this makes a difference when processing pics in photoshop, etc.
so what are you recommendations for good pro level photo displays?

well depends, like a lot of other things in life, on how much money you have. you can fork out thousands for a specifically designed for graphics monitor like an [eizo](http://www.eizo.com) or you can stick with a much cheaper option like a dell and buy a colour calibrator. i'd go with option 2.
