  Hi everyone...I'm doing the costumes for a short film based in Scotland (later to be turned into a feature film) and it's set in 1939...primarily looking for BEF 1939 uniforms. Does anyone have any contacts for suppliers/re-enactment groups etc? My main headache is finding size 12 knee high leather jack boots for an SS officer. The only ones I can find are £150 and unfortunately that is out of the directors budget. Need other specifics such as medals etc...it's quite a big cast for a short film and I've no idea where to start with giving an idea of budget

  Whenever I do anything remotely military I always use Khaki Devils near Diss in Suffolk. They hire but are also extremely helpful and generous with advice. Hire prices are not too terrifying! http://www.khakidevil.co.uk
