  You need to plant them in winter when they're dormant - there's a few going on the old community plot ;) but if you want some decent ones people tend to get them online: http://www.blackmoor.co.uk/ http://www.kenmuir.co.uk/ http://www.ashridgetrees.co.uk/ Are a few places to have a look at. What fruit do you do you want to grow?
