Does anyone know where I can get a replacement handle for my soprano case? Would prefer something nice, leather and in the same style as the original. The original handle is starting to crack and peel.
The cork on my top joint tenon has come off (the tenon itself is fine). Does anyone know where I can buy a sheet of the rubber cork to replace it (e.g. hobby shop) and what thickness I should get?...
Hi Lana, Ferrees Tools sells sheets of tenon cork and glue. Ferree's number is 1-800-253-2261, or 269-965-0511. I would use a fairly thin cork sheet, about 1/32, or thereabouts. The glue used is called cork cement. However, even though changing and installing a new tenon cork is fairly straightforward, if you never have done it before, I would get some advice ( and training) from a local teacher or pro who has done it. It can be frustrating. Hope it all works out Bill Grant
