  Need recommendation on a dentist, please. My current dentist wants to do major work, which would cost me almost 1000$ dollars and would include 3 crowns. They have a fancy machine that makes crowns right in their office. I love my current dentist, but I feel this is too much. I'm not having really any pain, just some sensitivity and feel a filling or two would be sufficient. So, if anyone has a dentist they feel is more conservative and doesn't want to crown every tooth in your mouth;), please share.

  It's a good idea to look for a competitive price on the work, but the crowns might be necessary. I really didn't want the two caps I have on my teeth, but it was explained to me that they were medically necessary because a tooth with too large a filling is vulnerable to breaking, which would require even more extensive repair. My uncle, Dr. Mike Sradomski, has been my dentist my entire life and he's fixed over 25 cavities for me (I have really crummy enamel!)
