  TDRL - Tricare Prime? Hey everyone, ​ I'm on TDRL, and I have different doctors telling me to get tricare prime and they point me to the medical benefits office however when I contact them they send to my primary care doctor, they then send me to another extension that keeps getting an endless ringtone. ​ Does anyone know how I can upgrade to Tricare Prime from regular tricare? Where I can go? ​ I'm in the Hampton Roads area, I went to the medical benefits office in NMCP but they just told me to go elsewhere without much detail. ​ Any ideas? Anyone to call? Should I go to PSD? Another clinic?

  Have you called Tricare? East Region - Humana Military 1-800-444-5445 Are you in a Prime area? What is your percentage? You need a 30% for Tricare. https://www.tricare.mil/Plans/Eligibility/RSMandFamilies

  1-800-444-5445 is the number to Humana Military (Tricare South). They should be able to answer her questions.

  We love our pediatrician. Jessica Willert with West Florida Pediatrics. We have Tricare. I used West Florida for my OB too, Dr Mehta

  Yes, if she is on Tricare Prime she will need a referral. If she is Tricare Standard she can choose though.

  Just needs to make sure she's enrolled in Tricare South. They will assign her a PCM at the naval hospital.

  Is she receiving Tricare benefits now and, if so, where is she moving from? There's a few scenarios here depending on several things.

  She will need to go to the Tricare office at the hospital and they will take care of the rest. They will assign her and the baby a doctor at the hospital.

  There is no Tricare office at the naval hospital now.

  There is no Tricare office at the hospital. She'll have to call tricare and they can help. If you go online and put in some info it will give you all the docs around here that take tricare. Depending on where they live she might not be assigned to the hospital

  So yeah, she's switching from Tri-West to Tricare South, I believe. There wasn't too much to doing that. Standard she can pick her own docs for sure. We just switched to that again.

  If she has tricare, then the naval hospital will take care of them.

  Have her call Tricare to switch from west to south. They can email her a list of doctors that take Tricare standard. Since she is on standard she DOES NOT needs referrals.

  Does anyone know a solution for this? Got kicked off military insurance bc I'm 21 and not in school for the summer. Starting my masters in August at uga. Just need a letter saying I'm going there for a masters, full time, and when I'm going to graduate. Uga won't give me this letter until I register. My advisor tells me I can't register until August.   What if you enroll in the young adults plan of tricare for like 2 months then cancel when you get the letter from uga

  I had to pay $150 a month to stay on Tricare. It's called the Tricare young adults program. Call them up and maybe since you'll be enrolled next fall they'll wave it

  Did you call TriCare and talk to them? I just got kicked off because I graduated I would say if you have an acceptance letter saying you're going to UGA they should be able to take it...

  I'd call Tricare for the most accurate answer to this. 800-444-5445. We've been to Seton Hospital and have not been charged. You can also contact your PCM and if they don't have an appt ASAP, you can either ask to see another PCM who does have a soon appt or you can call your clinics direct phone line and ask to be seen in their walkin times. Some of the clinics have special walkin hours everyday.

  Can choose a PCM on or off base via Hurlburt Clinic Tricare office, telephone (800)444-5445 or website www.humana-military.com. You'll have to register as a beneficiary on the website, but worth it.
