  A shelter near Boise, Idaho asked us if we could help this sweet boy, Elvis. He was found as a stray who had been hit by a car and his back leg is possibly broken. We have a fantastic volunteer, Hilary, who picked him up and took him right to the vet where he is currently resting. They have given him fluids and a pain patch and are evaluating his injuries. We should find out soon what needs to be done to help him.

  Just heard from Hilary, his femoral condyl is fractured. He will be having surgery today or tomorrow. Once they get in they will be able to determine if it can be repaired with pins/plates or if it will have to be amputated.
