  Looking for recommandations Hey all, I will visit Edinburgh over the weekend with my mom (we are from a non-english country). She is a big vintage fan and adores all the romantic cliché about the UK (no better way to describe it). So I'm looking for recommendations for cafés, restaurants, bookshops, antique shops, pubs and so on that have this kind of typical romantic/vintage/cosy vibe. I'm looking especially for a place that offers affordable (we have a small budget) afternoon tea, because we would love to try real scones and all that. :) Thanks a lot in advance! ​ Edit: I don't have time to answer to each comment individually (due to travel preparations), but I thank you all very much for your responses. I got a lot of ideas and I'm sure I have the right direction for the perfect places for my mom now because of your help. :)

  You can get club sandwiches in the Grill Room of the Dome on George Street, and it’s surprisingly reasonably priced. I mention this because, although not “cosy”, the interior is utterly stunning.   The road that the dome is in - George st has lots of restaurants in - including Jamie's, Browns and Los Iganas. The street that runs parallel with princess at and George st - Rose at or rosa st (?) has a few pubs that do bar meals too x
