  Brent W. wrote: Needed work done on a log house near Bernville; exterior staining of logs, outside steps to the doors, insulation reinstalled in basement, caulking between logs,etc. Bob was close by and I saw no bad reviews. He was personable and confident. Got an estimate of about $3500, paid half to start. First few days OK. He even arranged to rent the house as a business office. Then trouble. Rarely showed up for weeks and had a new excuse every time; he was stung by bees, his employee had food poisoning, had to go here, had to go there, etc., etc. Nothing but frustration. He would repeatedly assure us that the work would be done within a week and then barely show up, if at all. Bottom line - he never completed the work and some of what was done looks like it was done by a five year old. Finally, after almost two months of nothing, and after his lease started on the house, we emailed him and told him we were terminating the contract due to his making no effort to complete the job. We are also in the process of evicting him due to him giving us a rent check that bounced. And he's only been there two months! My very strong advice: stay far, far away from this guy. Bad news all around.

  Hey Sherrie - sorry I was not able to join the gang when you were in town. I have 2 names to offer - Kevin Tasco 610-927-7310 (he did some tile work and outside deck work for us - all well done and fairly priced); another new name I got as a reference from a trusted friend is Bob's jobs 610-466-5627. Hope this helps.
