  Any recommendations for a good arborist/tree service? I need some medium-sized trees trimmed. A brief look around the internet seems to show that there are a lot of scummy outfits out there who use door-to-door high pressure sales tactics and exploit neighbor-neighbor tension... None of that is relevant in my case but I'd like to use someone with a good reputation.

  I recently had a lot of work done by [Blooma Tree Experts](http://bloomatree.com/). I chose them after seeing multiple recommendations for them on my local Nextdoor. They were responsive to calls, answered all my questions, and didn't try to rope me into expensive things like cabling the tops of my trees like one of the other companies I'd gotten a quote from did. On the downside, they stay busy. It was about a week or so between calling and getting a quote, and then several weeks between the visit for the quote and them coming out to do the work, but that could have also been partially due to the scope of the work.

I've already been told that it will require one to two cranes to do the job without wrecking my house. Has anyone had experience with a good company that you'd recommend? It's terrible to have to comparison shop for this, but cost is a factor too, and it's amazing how much companies vary in their charges.
