  Dreaded Subaru head gasket issue $1 - Northglenn, Colorado My wife's 09 impreza hatch only has about 78,000 miles and I noticed a a couple drops of oil where she parts. Checked it out and it looked to me like the head gasket is leaking oil externally. I know from here it only gets worse. Oil in coolant, coolant in oil etc. Does anyone have any advice on getting this done? Where to take it? How much? Has Subaru helped anyone out with the cost due to their obvious faulty gaskets they continue to use? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

  I would say it's more of a valve cover issue. Headgaskets on your year wouldn't happen unless you overheated really bad or boosted a lot. I can deff help you out and diagnose if you need the help. Located in Littleton A..H Subie performance (323) 286-9766
