  anyone have recommendations to hotel/resort in Canmore or Banff for a weekend getaway? that has awesome views, things to do around the area, and outdoor heated pools?

  Drive another hour and head to Emerald lake in Field BC. Get away from the 'rat' race. Which Banff and Canmore is full of! LOL not really, but it is busy. Check out Field while you are there as well. :) https://www.facebook.com/EmeraldLakeLodge

  Emm Mii it is! I lived in Field BC for 14 years. We were married at Emerald lake Lodge. It is peaceful and very serene.... you can leave the property as well and drive a short 5 min to Field and have lunch at the siding general store - great soups and muffins and coffee etc.. You can also leave a little early on your way home and stop off at Lake Louise to see the lake and walk around. I would highly recommend it :)
