Good afternoon folks,
My name is Ross Galbraith and I am the projects manager with Glasgow Caring City charity, a small voluntary project based in Cathcart which helps people in Glasgow and overseas.
You may have noticed our textile recycling banks around the Battlefield area? Some yellow and some green. They are a tremendous asset for ourselves and the local community.
The reason for my post is fairly simple; in the coming months we will be renovating these banks to improve their appearance and make them less-harsh on the eye and more appealing for people to use. In order to achieve those aims, we would like to work in partnership with the community to come up with some designs and inspired suggestions as to what the banks could or should look like. This could be by suggestion, involvement of local schools or groups, perhaps even by local artists being inspired to create a nice piece of local street art.
We'd like to involve the community which hosts the banks. Hopefully folk will get on board and help us come up with some new designs.
Thanks.
Ross
