HELP!!!
My boyfriend bought me my very first aquarium for our anniversary and I'm absolutely loving it. However, I have an issue that none of the local pet store owners/staff seem to know about. BUBBLES! Not in the water but on the surface of the water. Tons of them...sometimes they're so bad that they cover almost the entire water surface. I've never used any commercial cleaners in the tank or on anything that has come in contact with the tank. I've tried altering the water levels and turning the filter up and down to see if it helps. I've looked it up on the internet and a couple places said that the surface tension of the water may be effected by over feeding my fish so I've started feeding them less. I've taken my water in to be tested and they said I was having nitrate and nitrite issues so I've been using prime. Still nothing. I've started using bottled water when I do water changes (we live in Innisfail and the water here is atrocious) and still nothing. I just don't know what else to do!! I'm a total fish noob and I have no idea what's going on. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!
