I know someone who is neglecting a Pitt...we want to get this dog in a safe place so it can be found a good home. Previously, the original owner abused this dog, it will need someone who has the time to seriously care for it. I cannot take it but I will not stand by and see it neglected after all it's been through. I need to know if the Taylor Animal Shelter will take it and if not where can I take this poor dog where it will not be killed? I am hoping for some good advice on this matter. I already have three animals that I have rescued and I can't have this dog around them because of the fact he is full grown, he's a young dog and he has issues from being abused. He is not at all aggressive, he actually cowers but will tear up the furniture if left alone. He is crate trained and goes into his crate easily but he definitely doesn't need to be spending his entire life in a crate. I will try and get a photo also later on today. This is not my dog but I have the ability to get it where it belongs and where it will actually be cared for and by God that's what I am going to do.
