  By email : Recommended hotel in Lyon ... We're looking for a comfortable hotel with secure parking and decent restaurant in the Lyon area as our stop on the way down to Monte Carlo. Any suggestions? We don't mind Mercures and so on when its jus one night, but wondered if you might know better than us ?

  I've stayed in the Hotel La Résidence which is plumb centre Lyon - it's comfortable but a bit faded fin de siècle - it's on a pedestrian priority street and there's no parking and no restaurant - but it's reasonably priced for the centre-ville.
