My husband and I are looking into getting Internet service for the 1st time. Does anybody have any insights into who offers what for Baldwin City? Or does anyone have suggestions on who to go with or more importantly NOT go with? Thanks in advance

Customer activations in March. Gigabit internet $75. Also offer HDTV & Phone. You can pre - register at rgfiber.com/sign-up. No commitment. Just indicating interest.

If you don't mind waiting RG Fiber will be serving the city. Gigabit fiber Internet projected to start laying line this spring from what I hear
Mike B. replied:
Second vote for RG Fiber. We're locally owned. Unlimited data. Fastest speeds anywhere. Disclosure: I'm the CEO. :)

You can't get RG fiber yet?
Mike B. replied:
Great question Jackie Zuern! Gigabit is the next speed marker. Today's internet is measured in Megabits. Our office has Centurylink and we only get about 6 Megabits per second. Mediacom claims to offer up to 305 Megabits, although I've never seen it. RG Fiber will be offering speeds up to 1,000 Megabits. Having this infrastructure means the Baldwin City will be ready for the future. Every city is trying to figure out how to get it, so they don't get left behind. Many are raising taxes to pay for it. We're using our own money to make it happen for Baldwin.
Mike B. replied:
No caps with RG Fiber. Netflix your heart out! Caps are necessary to keep you from crippling the legacy internet infrastructure that Mediacom and Centurylink are offering.
