  Thank you to the thieving scumbags who have broken in our garage and stolen my hubbys enduro bike. Can't believe the lengths they went to. They cut a metal security gate off it's hinges, managed to break through a UPVC door, and cut through 2 thick chains to get it. Also took a stihl chainsaw and bike helmet. We live in the Hallfold area. Please could people around the area share this. The police think the people who did it have family links in this area but live Burnley way. They think it's the same people who stole our other bike 2 years ago. The bike is a Husqvarna, like the one below, Reg GX10 AEZ. Last seen by police heading towards Burnley at approx 3.30 this morning.

  If anyone is going to go to the expense of buying a new door I'd recommend making sure you get a certified 'Secured by Design' door, and not some 'security door'. At least then you will get what you pay for. Composite timber is probably best with regard to security but very few people want the bother of maintenance nowadays. www.securedbydesign.com Is the website to go to and just look for suitable companies on there.

  If you are someone who has sufficient personal funds to use microchips then you are welcome to use them, the scheme Horsewatch provide is lost cost and effective and the stamps can last a life time. www.securedbydesign.com is a crime security accreditation website it covers everything from microchips, alarms, CCTV, Access control. Different things suit different personal and financial circumstances.
