About us
John is a bilingual, general practice attorney who takes a holistic approach to his clients’ legal needs, financial needs, and works for their overall welfare. Some of his practice areas include; divorce, child support, domestic relations, juvenile matters (delinquency and dependency), civil litigation, financial planning and wills, trusts, and estate.
Prior to becoming a lawyer John had an extensive business background spanning twenty years in management, insurance, financial planning, lending, finance, executive sales, business-to-business sales, import-export, consulting, and business brokerage. John worked for several banks including Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers and later was the Southeast Regional Vice President and Career Advisor for CFIC Home Mortgage, and the Regional Manager for CMI Investments for the State of Georgia.
John obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the State University of New York, College at Oswego. During his undergraduate career he studied international business at La Universidad Catolica, Santiago, Chile, and worked for a reagent importing company. John always had in interest in the practice of law and later obtained a paralegal certificate from the University of Georgia which encouraged him to pursue further legal education.
John obtained his Juris Doctor from Savannah Law School. During his studies, he attended a term at the Universidad d e Granada Facultad de Derecho, in Granada, Spain where he studied European law, international banking law, and international human rights. While in Granada, he also interned with the Ayuntamiento de Granada (the municipal government of Granada, Spain). Upon return to the United States, John also prosecuted for the Chatham County District Attorney under the Third Year Practice Act.
John is a member of the Georgia Bar Association, the Savannah Bar Association, a certified mediator, and also accepts court appointments from the Chatham... show more
