About us
We deliver a fresh farmer's box of seasonal and delicious fruits and veggies to your door.
You order, we source specifically for you at the largest farmer’s market in the southern hemisphere. It is where all the farmers sell their crops. It is where all the fruit and veg shops, restaurants and caterers buy their fresh produce.
It is a bustling, chaotic, exciting and massive hive of buyers and sellers moving huge pallets of fresh produce. There are people, pallet jacks, porters with trolleys, forklifts and even forklift trains to contend with.
We will always find fresh, seasonal staples, but not always in the same place. Freshness depends on who took delivery of what, and when! We have to know who to go to and what to ask on which day of the week. We have to build the box out of complimentary items, considering how things can be used together.
This is what we scour the markets to find, and while we are finding these things we come across other more interesting items that we like to throw a few of into the box. Things like the cherries, asparagus (with a lemon) and baby brinjals that we threw in this week’s box, or the artichokes and baby pumpkins from the week before.
Once we have our contents we head back to home base, where we pack your box for you. It chills with us over night and we deliver them fresh the following day; the shortest distance from ground to tummy.
