  Looking for advice from my medical Network or anyone who's dealt with anything similar: I have been dealing with extreme pain in my back and flank area for over a week. I've been to the chiropractor, a massage therapist, and 2 MD's. I have been prescribed multiple medications with little relief. They have told me it's more than likely muscle and bone related, yet I cannot seem to find relief. It so bad that I can barely stand or finish ADL's. I have been searching the internet with no real answers either. Any advice or ideas would be helpful.

  Sounds possibly kidney related....get labs done esp a UA and maybe blood but it definitely is some sort of inflammatory complex. Check out www.deflame.com for info on anti-inflammatory foods,supplements(fish oil is especially important) and spices...also foods to avoid that create more inflammation

  Well, I saw another knee doctor today (well I guess it was yesterday) to get another opinion, I guess. Or it might have just been because a friend highly recommended this one. He doesn't recommend surgery on my knee. He said with all the arthritis it probably would not do any good. I was kind of wondering about that myself. He was more personable than the first one. (I guess that must be important to me) He did not feel the need to tell me that loosing weight would help my knees. I guess he thinks I'm smart enough to figure that out for myself. The first doctor told me that, like he had room to talk, if you know what I mean. No I wasn't offended, just thought it was ironic. (if that's the right word) I did get an injection of a steroid in my knee (I hate steroids, just thought I'd put that out there), but I hope it helps.

  Have you ever looked at taking the gluten out of your diet. For many people it is an inflamatory and causes joint pain. Dirk did a that and in 3 days he was noticing a huge difference in his knee pain. He had been told similar things www.deflame.com
