A Better Clean is a full service, professional and experienced cleaning company.

Services provided on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or one time service to include move-in/move-outs. We also clean interior and exterior windows up to 2 story structures, Carpet cleaning also provided upon request.

    We had a terrible experience with A Better Clean & would not recommend them to anyone. Hank, the owner, was very convincing when he was trying to get our business. He & his girlfriend Chastity (the manager) came to our house to give us an estimate for a one-time deep clean. He went on & on about how thorough they are, explaining that they don’t just clean around items like other companies do, but move things & clean under & behind them. We went over a couple special jobs I wanted done, including the dusting of some boxes I had stored under my bed, & I asked if they could vacuum under the bed as well. Hank said that would not be a problem because they bring a Shop-Vac that can easily reach all areas under the bed. He promised it would be a very thorough, “top to bottom” clean, including my special requests, & gave me an estimate of $144 to clean our 1460 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. I thought that was kind of expensive, but we had guests coming to stay & it was important to us that the house was very clean for their visit. I asked Hank what he does if customers are not satisfied, & he said that would never be an issue because either he or Chastity personally inspect the home along with their clients to make sure they are completely satisfied before the cleaning crew leaves. That (along with several 5 star reviews online) convinced me, so I set up the appointment for 5/21/15. When the crew of 3 people (1 man & 2 women) were done cleaning, the team leader asked me to look it over. I found several things that were not done (including vacuuming under the bed). She cleaned some more, explained that they did not have a Shop-Vac (they just had a regular upright vacuum) so my husband & I helped the man lift one end of our bed up so she could vacuum under it. When that was done, I went through with her a 2nd time & found more things that needed to be addressed. She apologized, agreed that items I pointed out were done poorly, blamed the man, & said they usually have 4 people on a cleaning crew. When they were done, she assured me they’d now cleaned everything I’d brought to their attention, told me they were late for their next job & had to go, but if I found anything else, they would come back out to fix it. I thanked them, paid them, even gave them a tip, & they left in a hurry. After they left, I noticed more & more things that were still dirty, including areas I’d brought to the team leader’s attention. I contacted Hank right away to let him know & ask when he or Chastity would be by to look at the house. He said they were both in LaGrange on business & could not come, but asked me to send him a list of the items that needed taking care of & he would be out as soon as he could to fix them. I sent him a list with several items on it. I assured him that if he was able to see the job that was done, he would not be happy with it (no one would be). He said “As promised, I will address the issues. Please understand I am not in town but fully intend to honor my promise to you.” A week & a half later, I’d heard nothing from Hank, so I sent him a message asking when he would be by & what he intended to do. No response. The next day, I contacted him again, telling him that I was getting upset with his lack of follow-through or any attempt to get back to me at all. That is when he finally wrote back & said his crew assured him they did everything they were supposed to do, went above & beyond by “moving furniture”, & that I am obviously the type of person who would never be satisfied. Again, I invited him to come out to the house himself so he could personally see what was left undone & done poorly. He refused, again saying that he trusts the word of his crew. He said he can’t understand why someone would tip the workers when they weren’t satisfied. I explained that I gave them a tip in good faith that they had corrected the items I mentioned in our 1st & 2nd walk-throughs like they told me they had. Believe me, I wish I hadn’t tipped them. I wish I hadn’t paid Hank until he came to look at my house like he said he would. I wish I had never hired this company at all! Bottom line is that Hank says he will not come out to look at or address the issues I brought to his attention, he is “tired of going back and forth” with me, & I will not be getting any money back. The word of his crew & the fact that I gave them a tip is enough to convince him that the job was done properly. Hank is not a man of integrity & he should not own a business of any type. Ps. I later noticed that one of their 5-star reviews on Facebook was written by Hank himself! Avoid this company at all cost.

    We hired Hank Sizemore and his team to clean our four bedroom, two and a half bathroom home every other week starting last December. However, we just terminated their services in April for several reasons. First, the cleaning, especially in the bathroom showers was sub-standard. I had stated from the get-go that I am very particular about my showers, and that special attention needed to be paid there. But time after time the showers were poorly cleaned. Second, they advertise that they provide their own supplies; however, consistently the crew used up our paper towels after being asked to bring their own. Third, the crew coming to the house constantly changed. When we first hired them, we especifically stated that we wanted the same crew to clean our home. But in the four months that this cleaning service cleaned for us, eight or nine different people showed up, which really did not set well with us. Finally, one of the employees ruined one of our dark colored bath towels with bleach. So I contacted Hank, the owner, and he said that he would pay for it. This was three weeks ago. The first week, I got the line "The check is in the mail.", and for the last two weeks, Hank has kept giving me the run around about paying for the ruined towel. I do NOT recommend this cleaning service. Don't let the so called BBB accreditation fool you.
