I am a fine art wedding photographer. I adore the way that analogue film captures light and I shoot both film and digital because I believe that each has a unique and beautiful way of documenting the beauty of a wedding day. When I see the potential for a stunning moment, I will give direction. Otherwise I want to be soft and unobtrusive so that you can enjoy your day. I believe that your wedding day is about you celebrating your love for each other.
In addition to being a photographer, I am a former professional opera singer, a doting wife to my literature professor husband, and a lover of Victorian novels. I love writing letters by hand because it makes me feel like a character in Jane Austen. I think that the occasional meal made up entirely of chocolate chip cookie dough is perfectly acceptable, and I am a connoisseur of coffee ice cream. While I’m thrilled every time my work is featured on a blog or in print, nothing is sweeter than hearing how much my clients love their images. I feel deeply honored every time I pick up my camera and enter the world of a wedding.
My work has been featured on Style Me Pretty, The Wedding Chicks, Elizabeth Anne Designs, Merci New York, Sparkle & Hay, Landlocked Bride, Fabulously Wed, GayWeddings.com, Destination Brides, and Yap Tracker to name a few…
WEDDING HELP! Hi friends! A friend of mine wants to get married in NYC at a venue that has catering on-site, and is affordable. Any recent brides have any suggestions?

My florist is "Petal Design Studio" a friend I went to school with but don't know very well is part of their 2 person team (they hire freelancers to help for the bigger jobs). Lots of florists won't get out of bed around here for under 5K. It's awkward cause you sit down and they show you these books of all this gorgeous work. And I'm like well that is great, (how could someone with probably a 10K flower budget not have great flowers...) here are the colors I like and what kinds of things I like, other than that I am not insanely opinionated about flowers. What can you do for 2K? It's not a lot by NYC standards but they are working with it. She is having me purchase my own votive candles instead of buying from her so I can save. My photographer is a long time friend coming in from Boston, Arielle Doneson. She is giving me a friend discount and waving her travel fee. But she offers reasonable packages of all different lengths of time and does New York weddings even since moving to Boston. http://www.ariellephoto.com/
