  Ok so I have decided for our high end kitchen I want replace some of the areas where the cabinets were going to go with actual pieces of furniture with the sink built into it. Kinda hard to explain what I have pictured in my head (usually is) but I want a real OOOOOOLDDDDD looking distressed reclaimed cabinet that will look more like a piece of furniture instead of ALL cabinets. I am also thinking of building a dining room table around the oven at the island with a big beefy (like 3-4" think) piece of redwood/burlwood/teak or something like that? Here is a rendering looking into the kitchen.
