  Boat moving advice?? I have a 55ft boat which needs moving from chester to Ripon. It's on dry dock which means crane costs, the transport by road seems to be around 650 to 750. But the crane is silly! I can share a crane at 1 end £400 but the other end is going to be £800. Has anyone got any bright ideas or recommendations for boat movers?? Anyone any thoughts on dropping it into canal closer to chester and getting someone to move it via water to Ripon ......costs etc. I know Ripon is a git to get to? was thinking of offloading her at boroughbridge marina then up the Ouse to Ripon ??
