  Don't suppose anyone on here knows anything about tortoises? My poorly guy we've noticed has got swollen eyes he's unable to open, he's more sluggish than normal and not eating.. Going to ring the vets tomorrow but wondered if anyone had any advice?

  Danielle, I have a 2 yr old Hermann that wasn't eating a while back, my regular vet recommended Cambridge Vet group 01223 249331, Ian cope is the specialist. He was brilliant and got my girl back to full health. They weren't expensive either for specialists. Look up Tortoise protection group on here for really good advice. It's recommended to be on sterilised top soil (no vivs as too humid) and a diet of weeds (no fruit for our breed ). I was advised on daily baths and to up the basking lamp temperatures slightly while they are poorly x

  Does anyone have any contacts with any vet neurologist that can possibly help us with pancake's case? His Keppra med (seizure med) is not helping him, and the local vets here want to keep him on something that isn't helping him. Has tried Phenobarbitol in the past as well but had possible allergy to it. Has nystagmus with head bobbing a few times a day as well.
