  Looking for advice or info. So I was hit from behind tonight and my car's bumper needs to be repaired although my car has a salavaged tittle from a previous accident then I had fully repaired. My car is older and I'm unsure if it's worth to file a claim with the persons insurance since it Has a salvage title. Advice please.

  

  Timothy J. replied:

  Salvage titles generally don't matter. Your car deserves to be fixed. What they'll do is review estimate against the car's current market value. If the cost of repair is above a certain threshold, it's deemed a "total loss." You can get it repaired or they will more likely pay you the current market value of the car. If less than that amount, they'll pay for the repairs. If he or she has liability insurance (required by law), the insurer will pay for your damage. The two of you can work out an arrangement if they are trustworthy and they can pay the body shop. But that's a risky option. Feel free to contact me for any further info. Good luck!   I offer Supplemental Health policies, that pay in addition to other insurance policies, to help cover the Co-pays, deductibles, and other costs that traditional major medical plans don't cover, especially with the Affordable Care Act & the rising deductibles, this is certainly something you should consider.
