Hello lovely folk, we are nearing the stage where we can finally think about making this wiggly looking greenhouse I dreamt up over the old pigsty, we have found some eucalyptus which are in an area we don't want eucalyptus and as part or our way to replant using native broadleaf have decided to take them and see if we can fashion some sort of bendy greenhouse poly tunnel thing using only the wood we can get on the farm, we plan to cover it in poky tunnel plastic and make a doorway which is also covered in poly tunnel plastic, the main glaring issues I see is that we need to ensure the trees have no sharp points to chafe and pierce the plastic with, I wonder whether covering them would be a cheaper option than peeling and shaving and sanding them, since we have to do enough of this for tipi poles when we sell Tipis :) wondering if any of you clever minds can come up with an item which is readily sourced and would work to protect the plastic from the tree...short of covering the trees in parcel tape ;)
