  Hola Expats! While staying in this gorgeous country for some time I am considering getting some specific dental work done. What I am looking into is to have my mercury fillings replaced and possibly my root canals. Has anyone had this kind of dental work done here in Costa Rica?   Thanks again, everyone, I have got some homework to do … but I am curious has no one had the procedures done that I am asking about? Harry Heist 10K in was it removing the mercury from your dental work? Again, to be clear I am not looking to get a roo t canal done or a crown. I have 3 in the past, and would not do again hence my inquiry, and one is causing me problems now. And in the past, not sure now, but they have used mercury in this procedure. So I would like to have them redone and take the mercury out. Same with my metal fillings and replace it with porcelain. Oscar Soto 'mercury filling no problem all day' sounds a little too laid back. Do you have a number I can call to ask them questions? Lori McIntyre do you understand what I am looking for? and can you send me contact details of those you believe do this procedure?   Hi Debbie! Goodness, where to start? I had 7 "silver" fillings (which are actually at least 50% mercury) placed in my mouth as a teenager and they caused all sorts of problems for me. I had to get them taken out by a biological dentist that I found on IAOMT.com (watch the smoking tooth video there). I have also had to do low, slow, frequent doses of oral chelation via Dr. Andy Cutler's method (www.noamalgam.com) but after several years, I am making great strides with my health. My autoimmune disease is also undetectable now. I asked about whether there was a silver filling under the crown because many dentists leave it there when they put on crowns. All silver fillings need to be removed from the mouth the proper way before one should ever think about attempting to detox their body from metals. Amalgam removal and chelation need to be done the right way or they can make you way worse.
