  I am looking for some good recommendations on dog trainers. I need a dog trainer that will do a board and train for a GSD that needs manners to be more adoptable & I need a dog trainer for my GSD to start doing some bite work with and one for our Aussie to do some herding dog work.

  Steve Robinson at Common Scents in ortonville is great. He graduated from Michigan state with an animal behavioral degree and has won several awards in schitzhund. He uses positive methods for training. He does not choke a dog into submission. His shepherds want to work and enjoy it. http://www.commonscentscanine.com/ Even tho on the site it says inboard training is suspended, I would still call. I believe they started it back up again. I personally have trained and worked along side him.
