Some time ago, I had asked for Eastern European/Polish/Hungarian/German restaurant suggestions. I just want to thank everyone who suggested this place.
We went to!Sebi's Bistro for dinner & it was FANTASTIC! Because we went early, we got to spend time talking to our server whose aunt owns the restaurant and made our dinner this evening. I had a bowl of dill pickle soup (which I have seen made on a cooking show somewhere, maybe My Grandmother's Ravioli?). The name of the soup is not the most appetizing if you don't know what it is, but it was delicious. It was so delicate and decadent and humble. We ordered the delicious schnitzel (which we heard them pounding after we ordered) and the peppery, flavourful bryzol & split everything. With dinner came a Caesar salad which I was hesitant about, being in a Polish establishment, but it was perfectly dressed, almost naked. It was the essence of the Caesar flavors without a ton of creamy dressing or flakes of cheese everywhere. Very lemony and fresh -yum. The pierogies were the best I've ever had. The dough was light as a feather and they were like happy, cheese pillows. But my favorite is the pyzy (pictured). Amazing. Plus, we brougt home blueberry pierogies for dessert. We can't wait to go back, and they also have Rouladen from time to time. I'm *always* on the lookout for that! So good!!! I don't know how long they've been open, but I hope they never leave!
