  I was in Belize last January. My favourite place we stayed was Jeremiah's in Caye Caulker. Not fancy, but cheap and very central. I loved the island..super laid back and the snorkelling was amazing. On our last trip, we stayed at the Best Western French Quarter in New Orleans..I loved it and would highly recommend. The staff were fantastic, and it was walking distance to Bourbon Street, but far enough that the noise didn't keep us up all night. We also stayed at the Madewood Plantation House..if you want to splurge, this is the place to do it..felt like Scarlett O Hara!!! It was a once in a lifetime experience ($400 a night), but what an amazing experience to have!
