  Does anyone have any medical advice they can give me? My primary care practitioner is no longer practicing (I don't know if it's at all or just not with Spectrum). Since he was the reason I went to that office all the way down in Byron Center (I live in Rockford), I am looking for a new doctor. I have a list of doctors that are closer to my house. One is listed as a DO, not an MD, but she's at the Rockford office, so she's closest to my home. There is an MD in the same office, but I'm unsure if English is her first language and I want to be able to understand her. What is a DO and should I go to one or should I stick with an MD? It says her specialty is family and general practice. She is affiliated with Butterworth and Blodgett. She graduated from Michigan State with a DO and started her practice in 2009, so she is quite young/new to practicing medicine. The other doctor in the office started practice in 2012. Should I go with someone much more experienced than that?

  I abhor Dr visits, but love our present physician, Dr. Kristi Demock. She is a DO and has her practice in Rockford. She has a huge personality and I feel is a wonderful Dr. Her number is (616) 863 3150. Good luck with yiur search.
